A new housing development is planned to address the housing shortage:
The site will incorporate 92 three and four bedroomed houses and 55 apartments all built to a very high standard, with the very latest environmentally conscious design used at every juncture. Properties on the site will be a test development for a domestic sprinkler system in four storey houses in conjunction with Fire and Rescue Services. As part of the development agreement, up to twenty percent of the dwellings will be ‘affordable housing’ for those workers on a low income and at least five will be available for rent.
The site has been designed to include two areas of public open space which, alongside the high quality landscaping used throughout the whole development, will enhance the overall visual appeal and environmental quality.
